Jacob Boyer of Marcellus High School Golf is our Van Buren/Cass Student Athlete of the Week for the week of April 12, 2015.
At the first SAC Jamboree of the season on April 15, Jacob finished third overall by shooting a 44 for nine holes. The following day, he won SAC Jamboree #2 by firing a 41 for nine holes. Jacob wrapped up the week by winning the Lawton Invitational with a score of 79 for 18 holes.
Jacob is a four year varsity golfer. He also serves as National Honor Society President and volunteers for his church. In the classroom, he carries a 3.45 grade point average.
Other finalists for the week were Alec Washegesic of South Haven Baseball, Koby Henderson of South Haven Track, and Hunter Coombs of Lawrence Baseball.
