Hunter Janowiak of Brandywine High School Baseball is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of May 3, 2015. Hunter went 9 for 17 at the plate in doubleheaders against Lake Michigan Catholic and Cassopolis and a single game against #10 Homer. He turned in two doubles and five RBIs while also scoring three runs. In the field, he committed no errors for the week.
Hunter is also a member of the Football team, National Honor Society, French Honor Society, History Club, and Student Senate. In the classroom, he carries a 4.0 grade point average.
Other finalists for the week were Nickoda Keefer of Eau Claire Baseball, Abby Bansen of Lakeshore Track, Kayla Rosenbaum of Michigan Lutheran Softball, and Jake Kissane of Lake Michigan Catholic Baseball.
