Lauren Kilgore of Buchanan/Bridgman High School Swimming is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of September 10, 2017. Lauren played a part in breaking four St. Joseph High School pool records in the Bees’ meet against the Bears. She swam a leg for three winning relay teams and also won the 200 Individual Medley. Then at Harper Creek, she swam a leg for the winning 200 Medley Relay that broke that pool record as well. She also won the 50 Freestyle, 100 Back Stroke, and 200 Free Relay.
Lauren is also a member of the National Honor Society and is on the Honor Roll at Buchanan. In the classroom, she carries a 4.17 grade point average.
Lauren is the daughter of Shelley and Brian Kilgore of Niles.
Other finalists for the week were Andrew Coffeen of New Buffalo Football, Robert Gordon of Brandywine Football, Wil Korbel of River Valley Football, and Jayden Pribyl of Bridgman Soccer.
