Caleb Hester of Coloma High School Baseball is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of April 12, 2015. For the week, Caleb threw back to back no-hitters. In a no-hit win over Watervliet, he struck out nine batters. Then in a no-hit win over Berrien Springs, he struck out 18 batters. At the plate, he batted .400 for the week.
Caleb has also been a member of the Coloma Football and Basketball teams. In the classroom, he carries a 3.1 grade point average.
Caleb is the son of Kevin Hester and Amy Johnson of Coloma.
Other finalists for the week were Brianna Rimpson of Benton Harbor Track, Jessica Boyd of St. Joe Softball, and Ryan Stachowski of Lake Michigan Catholic Baseball.
