Lexi Cerven of Decatur High School is our Van Buren/Cass Female Student Athlete of the Year. Lexi earned All-Conference, All-State and Academic All-State honors in volleyball where she led the Raiders in kills. In basketball, she earned All-Conference, All-State, and Academic All-State honors where she led her team with most points and steals. In softball, she has earned All-District and All-Region honors. She also won Regional and State Championships in power lifting where she set a state record.
Lexi was also a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated with a 3.85 grade point average.
