Brandywine’s Duckett Is Named Berrien County Male Student Athlete Of The Year

Andrew Duckett of Brandywine High School is Berrien County’s Male Student Athlete of the Year. In Track, Andrew won the state championship in the 300 Meter Hurdles while placing third in the 110 Meter Hurdles and sixth in the 200 Meter Dash. He was the conference champion in the 110 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, 100 Meter Dash, and 200 Meter Dash. He also claimed the regional championship in the 110 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, and 200 Meter Dash. He’s the school record holder in the 110 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, and 200 Meter Dash.
On the football field, he earned All-Conference and All-State honors. This year, he passed for 1,100 yards and 18 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,000 yards and 11 more touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 49 tackles. He also broke several school records in football.
In basketball, he earned All-Conference honors.
Andrew was also a member of the National Honor Society. He also volunteered time to work with middle school hurdlers and coach rocket football. He graduated with a 3.6 grade point average.
