Carlos Johnson of Benton Harbor High School Basketball is the 
WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of March 4, 2018. In the Tigers’ first round District Tournament win over Niles, Carlos finished with 14 points, five assists, 12 rebounds, and three steals. In their semifinal win over Coloma, he scored nine points to go along with seven assists, 14 rebounds, and three steals. He wrapped up the week with 18 points, seven assists, ten rebounds, and two blocked shots in their District Championship win over South Haven.
Carlos is also involved with Jobs for Michigan Grads, Upwards Bound, and the Boys and Girls Club. In the classroom, he carries a 4.06 grade point average.
Carlos is the son of Racheal Smith and Carlos Johnson, Sr.
Other finalists for the week were Devan Nichols of Benton Harbor Basketball and Gabe Brunner of St. Joe Swimming.
