Benton Harbor led by one after three quarters, but Austin’s Dave DeBusschere scored ten points in the opening five minutes of the fourth to lead the Crusaders to a 71-68 victory over the Tigers.
Benton Harbor’s Chet Walker finished with 25 points and went on to play for Bradley University and the Chicago Bulls. DeBusschere ended with 32 points and went on to play for the University of Detroit and the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks.
