Not really High School related, but a good read

I know this is supposed to be a high school sports related blog, but after being home sick for the last few days I've had a chance to surf the web a little and found what I believe is an outstanding piece of work by Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press.

It's Called "The Courage of Detroit"

Being a huge Detroit Sports fan, I thought it would be about the Detroit Sports scene, but found it much more than that.   Detroit is down, but there is so much for Detroit to look forward to.  Despite what the media and others may say.   As somebody that has family directly affected by the auto industry and the difficulty.  I can say it's been hard to say I am from Michigan.  Now after reading Mitch's story... I am proud once again to say that I AM A MICHIGANDER!!!   I hope you will read this and come away with a little more pride about what it means to be from the state made from God's handprint...
